This is a mansion from America's "Gilded Age," also known as the Victorian Era. It's pre-Civil War, and the oldest in the States like it (older than Biltmore). Everything in it is original. We took a tour, hosted by a local character. All of this was in Portland, ME, and we almost missed it.
